1. Introduction to Privacy Policy
This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) governs how we, Show Day Productions, LLC (“ShowDayPro”, “we”, “our” or “us”), use Personal Information (as defined below) that we collect, receive, process, and store about event attendees and our Customers in connection with the use of: (i) the ShowDayPro event management software platform and related services (“ShowDayPro Platform and Services”), (ii) the website showdaypro.com, and any other website that we operate (each, together with its sub-domains, content and services, a “Site”); and (iii) the ShowDayPro web and mobile software application(s), and any other software application(s), that we license (each individually, and collectively, the “Software”). The ShowDayPro Services, the Sites, and the Software are individually and collectively referred to herein as the “Services”.
We have implemented this Privacy Policy because privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains our online information practices and the choices our Customers can make about the way personal information is collected and used in connection with the Services.
Where other language versions of this ShowDayPro Privacy Policy exist, the English version will prevail in the event of any conflict and/or confusion between the documents.
2. Information We Collect
While using our Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain Personal Information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, name, phone number, postal address, and other information. Generally, since you are using our services as part of an event you are organizing, the information you enter should be your business contact information, not your personal contact information. Nevertheless, because we value your privacy, we still treat this data carefully and safeguard it from unintended disclosure or access.
3. Data Collection Policy
Collection of Information from our Website
When you visit our website and engage in activities such as filling out a request form, registering for an event, registering as an organizer, subscribing to our blog, downloading content (e.g., info papers), or contacting us, you will be required to provide certain personal data, including your contact details. We collect this personal data to fulfill the purposes that will be clear from the context, such as answering your inquiries about our service offerings, providing support, registering you for a demo, initiating sales discussions, targeted marketing and advertising, personalizing services, enabling account management, fraud prevention, and other related purposes.
Collection of Information from our Platform
Except for data concerning Customer’s Event administrators, the information collected through our platform (including the app) is obtained from or on behalf of our Customers who host or manage events. This information is collected either from Customer administrators accessing the backend of our platform or directly from Event Attendees, including their use of the platform and services. The control of this type of personal data lies with the Customer, and ShowDayPro collects and processes it on behalf of and according to the instructions provided by the Customer, including the applicable terms in any Customer Agreement. In this context, ShowDayPro acts as a processor, while the Customer acts as the controller. ShowDayPro collaborates with Customers and offers tools to enable them to provide appropriate notice regarding the purposes of collecting personal data on our platform, obtain consent for the collection and use of such information where necessary, and establish lawful bases for processing. The responsibility for such notices, consent, and lawful bases rests entirely with the Customer. ShowDayPro may also collect personal data through the platform for events organized by ShowDayPro, in which case ShowDayPro acts as the controller of such personal data.
Collection of Information from the App or Other Smart Devices
When you download or use the App or other smart devices in connection with a Customer Event, we collect app usage data, including information about which of our apps have been downloaded to your mobile device and when.
Personal data may also be collected through the App and other smart devices by ShowDayPro for events run by ShowDayPro, in which case ShowDayPro acts as the controller of such personal data.
If you have requested or consented to location services in connection with your use of the App or other smart devices, where applicable, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device. We use this information to provide you with location-based services and other personalized content based on your location, as part of Customers’ management of Event Attendees’ data. Most mobile devices allow you to disable location-based services; please refer to your mobile device’s “Settings” for more information. Regarding all App data in connection with an Event of which you are an actual or prospective Event Attendee, the Customer is the controller.
Collection of Information from Email Messages
